Subject: Culti-mulching. Thing of the past??

So we live where it doesn’t rain much in eastern Colorado. All dryland here. I bought a piece of ground that’s actually decent pasture. But the original owner was in the process of breaking out part of it to farm for feed. Unfortunately passed away in the process. I’m in the need of both pasture and farm ground. So I was going to continue working only the sod he worked up. It’s been worked with a disc twice, but definitely big clumps grass crowns and clumps of dirt.

I had wondered about those old Culti mulcher things. Borrowed a pic off the internet of one. Would those be any use in something like this?. I know I see them for sale on Facebook for next to nothing. But Iv NEVER seen one used here. I’m sure they’re pretty small, 20 feet maybe. might be a good use for an old tractor. If not I’ll keep at it with a disc and blade machine in the spring.
