Anybody ever wonder if we need to start putting some trees back in for wind protection? I am all for taking
out fence lines to make field work more efficient and keeping waterways and ditches clean. I thinking like cedar trees that don’t grow out into the field to much, don’t branch out. Easier to maintain around them. With all the big dust storms that have been happening in spring tillage and Fall soybean harvest I think this would help. A nice line along one side of section.

Honestly have been thinking about this a lot lately.... Like the guy from ND said here in the Dakotas its doesn't matter what you do it seems like residue blows to some extent, we had bean stubble fields get blown down to the dirt this fall, it's very frustrating.... Of course if it's hit with a disk style VT basically the whole field is bare come late spring.... Not surprisingly our best fields are the ones with tree protection that was put in 80 years ago, our elders were smarter then we give them credit for
