manure is and always will be the best biological and fertilizer. If you can get your hands on it and correctly use it at proper rates, there is nothing in comparison. One problem I have ran across with guys that apply manure, is they will over apply and it will hurt their microbial populations. I have seen fields with next to 0 mycorrhizal populations because they applied manure in excess every year. That's where testing comes in to figure out what is going on.
