The dollar stores (General, Family, Tree) have been sued by multiple states about this. They don’t staff the stores adequately to properly replace pricing, and most people don’t notice.

Properly is a nice word. They can’t get enough help. The help not trained or too lazy or too busy to check the price when stocking. It happens. It’s been happening more so lately. If I’m in question of the price I check the barcode and take a picture to show the cashier. $4 listerine would be a sale price. I can’t afford listerine….
