I use 2.5 gallon / 100 water for watering garden .
Foliar soybean & dry bean for plant health, biggest problem with calcium is doesn't mix with many things.
For vegetables I would use prior to fruit set at maybe 5% solution to start with, soil applied 3-5 gallon acre.
If your 5.1 soil is sandy in any way I would think the yield response would be noticeable
