E ND | Most permitted routes are worried about weight (roads/bridges capacities), height for bridges and width. I've never really seen obstacles on the ground like railroad tracks be part of the process.
The length of the load and ground clearance would fall on the truck driver and carrier I would think. Maybe someone on here permits over dimensional and has more information.
If you pull a specialized trailer you should be pretty good at eyeballing things like this, knowing what you can and can't clear and how to adjust your trailer ride height and load to make it safely. Usually they're running tall loads as close to the ground as possible but have the ability to raise the ride height when needed. Not sure about those specific trailers though. | |
