NW Iowa | Get the feed out of the pen.
Drop some posts and put a couple boards across the fence.
Make's you some cheap fence line feed bunk.
Fork out the hay and top dress.
You want them to clean everything up and come up hungry.
Stale feed and flyweights down't mix.
Easy to tell which ones are sick.
They are too small to be on full feed.
Get a mound in the pen so they don't lay in any slop.
If they are licking **** off their hair coat, they will get sick.
Keep them dry, clean, and slightly hungry.
Test your feed then you know.
Protein is easy, just watch how the poop plops.
If i didn't have cows i'd background 350-400lb to 700-800lb.
