How big of an area had no starter? 1/4 acre? Multiple acres? Are you comparing it to the whole field average or the exact rows next to it?
Lots of questions, it doesn’t seem it should have affected it that much to the negative. I gave up on the in-furrow and switched to 2” off the side dribbled out the back. I am happy with the set up, less problems and mess.
