Subject: MX 200 vs 7810 vs 8100

Ludington/Manistee MI area
Searching for a new to me planter tractor to pull 16/31 2600. I know Agtalk frowns on the 7810 because of short wheelbase. IMO a shorter tractor takes up less shed space so a bonus. The MX and 7810 both have 540 PTO and that’s nearly a must. Early 8100 has the smallest block and the MX has the biggest. How bulletproof is the MX? Parts availability? My heart of hearts is a 7810 but if I can save $10,000-$15,000 I might be open to a CIH. Already have 2 Deere’s. How much does a 7800 give up to a 7810?…….same displacement as a 8100. Few years ago used a neighbors 7400 to move wagons when we combined for him and felt at home coming from 8000 series Allis tractors.
