Subject: RE: Case IH vs KInze Planter

Holland, Indiana (SW IN)
Just FWIW I've welded multiple times on a double frame Kinze's

Don't now what you broke but if it's the 4 carrying wheels we broke that part in half ---not that bad to get straight
As I understand the center mast isn't too hard to fix
rest of frame just cut pull straight and weld --we checked our double frame Kinze's close every year--- found little cracks weld gusset metal in those areas
When you get done fixing reset the center slides very important to have the front to back leveled right
The double frames will tend to nose dive when the slides get worn

As far as Kinze VS Case until 2010 we had Kinze double frame 16 row planters
2011 bought a new 16 row JD with $40K worth of precision stuff HATED it-- traded it after one year
2012 on have had Case planters we like them
We NT most everything the narrow staggard offset openers on a Case cut through most everything
We did put the star closing wheels, row cleaners on our current case planter but it would work without them
