Subject: RE: Roomba

Southwestern Minnesota
About a year ago I did a lot of research on them to try to determine which one I would want. I wanted it to map the house, return to the base to recharge and start where it had left off, self empty and be simple to run. After all that research, the one I wanted I thought was way too expensive (especially when I wasn't sure how good of a job it would really do). Then the one I was looking at was 50% on Amazon Prime Days and I bought it.
I really like it! It was simple to set up and does a good job. I can schedule the days I want it to run and pick the room(s) I want it to do. My main cleaning day now is Monday. So on Monday I pick up various things on the floors (like scatter rugs, wastebaskets, etc) and pull the chairs out from the kitchen table. It mapped the house and alerted me to tight spots that it couldn't get and I either fixed those spots if I could or designated it as a zone to avoid.
It exceeded my expectations and it cleans more often than I did previously. It sure beats pushing the vacuum cleaner around. I got a Roomba J7+. It was likely a last year's model, since it was 50% off, but I am very happy with it. I still use the regular vacuum once in a while for those spots it can't get and just to test it out and see how well it did.
