Subject: Tires - Firestone VF vs regular

NC IA
I priced some 480/80R46 Firestone deep tread tires from local tire shop. They are telling me they can get the "VF" versions for around the same price as normal version.

This would be on a 7830 JD - I believe the VF has more plys/higher load rating vs the regular tire and they can run lower air pressure. Would this be overkill for a smaller tractor like a 7830? Would they ride stiffer from the increased plys if both versions of the tires are set at the same pressure (say both are at 15 psi)?

I would think they would have a tougher sidewall/more durable tire, but a little worried it would result in a rougher rider if they are aired up like a normal tire? Any thoughts?
