Thanks for the replies, I had all these thoughts myself, magnums do not need the additive. My feeling on this is hytran would create more pressure in the non vented gearcase, I've run 85w140 my whole tenure here and never had a problem, I would doubt that the hard parts have been changed, I suppose I should contact service and see if they have an explanation.
