We have a house that we had to leave empty and someone broke in the front door and left it wide open and its right next to the thermostat. We didn’t check on it for a week or 2 and the fuel oil ran out from the furnace running non stop, pipes froze busted well pump in basement even froze and broke….. not to mention they ransacked the whole house. Luckily nothing of value in there.
