I wasn't sawing when it broke.  I turned on the saw and was about to saw a 2x4, but before the wood touched the blade, the blade broke.

I make a point of releasing the tension on my band saws when I'm done sawing so the tires won't get flat spots.  I had sawn walnut and cherry previously with this blade and it did a fantastic job.

I am taking it to a shop in Moline, IL to be welded next week, hopefully it will work again as it did before.
