I would just use regular tin lead acid core solder. Going to have to make a copper patch for the other hole as you can’t fill in a hole that big. It will just plop in. Keep it clean and just enough heat to flow the solder.
You may have already reflowed the seam that’s there trying to braze it.
Any tip on brazing/ sodering brass to copper?
