So these new dishwashers are like computers. Sometimes you have to turn them off and then turn them back on. Sometimes my work computer I turn it off and walk away for 20-30 minutes. Then turn it back on. Sometimes you have to turn of the computer several times and turn it back on. Another wrinkle is that you have to restart the computer not just turn off the computer for a few minutes. Interesting.


If your "wacky computer" is fairly old, and is a desktop, open the case and change the "nickel sized battery" on the motherboard. When they get to low voltage, weird things happen.
Usually a CR 2032 which is widely available as its used in garage door opener controls and cameras too.
