central kansas reno county | Yea don't disagree. We as farmers won't ever be happy. It's either toowet or too dry. There is about a 10 day window that everything is perfect. In the spring of 19 our little town was flooded. Literally water running down main street. Couldn't get into town unless you lived there. My parents had over 3 foot of water in there basement from middle of May till first of August. Only about a dozen homes in the town have basements in it foe that reason. About once a week dad would put some bleach in it to keep it from going bad.
So yes I am complaining about the drought persisting that was worse. I decided to plant some dryland corn that year cause we had good moisture. Ended up picking about 20 bushel per acre. |
