Central Iowa | Baler I know Obama care is a dirty word on this site but 5.5 years ago I "retired" from my off farm job but wasn't old enough to go on Medicare. I thought I had everything set up to get health care but the government changed the rules on me. My insurance agent helped me get on Obama Care and it has been working out well for me. Last summer I broke my left leg total bill was around $75,000 my bills totaled $1,500. My monthly premium last year was $112, this year it's going up to about $180. My income is low enough that the government is paying part of the premium, don't know how much.
Definitely look into Obama care and see if it will work out for you. My provider is Blue Cross.
