That story is right up there with Olivetroad's story of his bosses wife leaving him a plate of food so he didn't have to eat the bosses roadkill (and then some!) lunch.

And that is part of the proposed health benefit of raw milk. The immune system activity/challenge. Another theory is the live digestive and protective function of the milk that is destroyed by heat. You can't just have a nutrient rich fluid hanging in the udder without protection, the milk is just as alive as blood, muscle or skin. The loss of that may not matter for immediate consumption, or it may change the way milk ages similar to growing mushrooms or botulism, that is, eliminating the competition and favoring different organisms or processes.
