In self feeders, I tried every variable of the "cracking" option and none were worth the effort and the fines were intolerable.
Finding a pellet that held up was the final piece of the puzzle.
If I fed a wet TMR, corn or alfalfa silage etc., I would crack the corn.
Any advantage to cracked corn with beef pellets?
