Subject: RE: forage sorguhm

Latimer, Iowa (north central)
We planted it a bunch back in the diverted acres days for silage. Would even rent the neighbors diverted acres and plant. Worked the best to plant 2 rows of forage sorghum then 1 row popcorn and so forth across the planter. The popcorn would dry up so much sooner that when it was "blended" with a 3 row head it made decent feed so it could be chopped before snow. It was a nightmare if it got snowed on and would drop the leaves after a frost.
