We ran into a problem with this type of install this fall. Like others have said, it will eventually fail and cost a sub panel or maybe more. I know why they did it because #2 wire is easier to handle than 1/0 or whatever the equivalent is but it shouldn’t be done. Especially in a high load situation like on a farm.
