Subject: Calibrate dry spreader for vari-rate

Getting ready to calibrate my dry spreader recently updated to variable rate fertilizer. Trying to come up with an economical way to weigh the fertilizer run out the back. If I tee a gauge into my loader lift will I be able to get an accurate enough weight? I thought maybe I could put some tractor weights into the bucket and do some calibrating. I could spring for a loader weight system. Or get a platform scale, but then have to lift container to dump. A loader system seems the easiest, just dump bucket back into truck or spreader. How are the rest of you doing it?
