Central Nebraska | I had to do something similar to adjust yield data. basically ended up cutting the data out of the dataset and making a new dataset. This is what AL told me to do in an email:
"To separate out a section of data, make a map of the data as a whole, go into edit layer and select the area you want like you did, then choose invert selection in top left to select everything else and delete selection. Then go into file > save as and save it where it should go and it will be its own dataset to then scale or do whatever youd like. Then do the same thing again and select the area you just did but delete that out, and then save it on bottom left which will save the original dataset that you altered earlier. This will make a new dataset of the data to change and fix the other stuff so nothing is doubled up. What you tried to do editing the data grid is not going to be the best method for this and would be best to use scale data or use a scale ticket. Hope this helps!"
If you are just wanting to move fields from 1 dataset to another i would think when its time to select where it goes you would select the field combo you need. | |
