Sending a check with trucker wouldn’t meet the requirements of seller to know if check was good before equipment leaves. If you don’t go and look and speak with owner personally and develop a feeling of the situation, you will have to accept some risk. I try and avoid those dealings on anything of much value. He is at risk or you are at risk .
