Its all about communication. If you have a bad feeling you need to go look at it.
Otherwise ask for an invoice, send check based on invoice. And get the deal done.
I have sold several high dollar items as well thru FB marketplace. Again communication.
As others have said see if you can find an info on individual on internet if you are leery. That said if you are that leery maybe you need to go look
This is what I've done, get an invoice and send a check that way there is a record. Now if you think anything is fishy there is no security in this, but I haven't had an issue so far. Disclaimer these have always been smaller deals. |
