I am wanting to set AB lines in my fields that can be repeated year after year. I assume you need RTK for this.

With a RTK base station setup, movement of the tectonic plate must be accounted for in base's coordinates. See this video: Measuring Plate Tectonics with GPS
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1m1tAGbfL4

If your tractor's GPS will kick down into say RTK-Fill and/or WAAS when RTK's signal is lost, then the base's reference frame (say NAD83: CASE) must be in the same as the tractor's GPS reference frame.

In pic below, if the tractor's GPS was suppose to get 2025's coordinates, but the base station was using one of the other two coordinates, then when RTK signal was lost, RTK-Fill or WAAS would kick-in and cause a course correction to a different path.

Point - Need to know what reference frame (datum) the tractor's GPS equipment is using, and setup a base station in that reference frame. The base's coordinates may/will have to be updated before planting/etc. I know the specifics on doing this when using NAD83 reference frame (datum). Yes, year after year accuracy
