coast of Maine | Be very alert when doing wire transfers.The banks are very diligent but..when the wire request and routing # is received by you or the bank,there is no way of knowing a scammer may have intercepted the email,changed the routing number and sent it along to you.The easy way is just before sending you call the receiving bank and compare routing numbers.This is very important because people have lost an entire house purchase cost $$ that way.Wires are excellent but you need to verify,,its not the sellers or the banks its the internet scammers.I am very aware of caution in using a driver/trucker you do not know.If you know them fine.If its a guy off the load board it can be a scam as well..That one is along story but it happens. | |
