SW Ohio | As a buyer I'd lay my regular check on the tailgate with the dated and detailed bill of sale stating ownership and release upon funds clearing and both our drivers liscense and take a picture, and agree on a date to send a truck that would allow the check time to clear.
As a seller, same way, although I've also went by gut feeling and released under 10k equipment immediately.
As a seller, a large ticket item don't move till funds clear.
Common sense and gut feeling goes a long way.
My biggest fear is Leins on the equipment.
