Bloomington and Putnam IL | Another "major award" today (age grouped placed in 55 of my last 56 races since my glute strain healed in May, just lost at Philly at the Penn Relay 5K in November where everbody is in shape like me). Just keep my favorites on the shelf. Have numerous storage tubs of "awards" heading to the dumpster when I RIP. When I started this journey in 2012, I could barely walk from the start to the finish line watching my son run a 5K. No knee surgery, just limit the carbs and sugars and knee is more than good enough. Today I let our 23 year old son beat me by 2 seconds heading back in against a 40 MPH wind with snow and sleet (he ran a 4:50 mile in high school). 6K in the morning to start 2025!
