East Central, Nebraska | very cool.
i like seeing others progress. motivates me. i am a little older than you and seem to have very little extra time but i have committed some time here lately to try and thoroughly go through paul mcwhortors arduino R4 courses and am dipping into his pico lessons. i have spent years doing trial and error of others code and decided i needed to really spend some time learning it myself from the ground up. its finally got cold and wet here so i am full force ahead. my goals are to have some prototypes of two basic systems by spring that i plan to improve on. as i read tedbears post above i may need to pick his brain a little as one is a chemical product dispersal system to add chemicals out of a tote automatically while loading the sprayer, maybe that is something he has done. another goal is to get some remote soil moisture monitors out in the field this spring of my own and maybe also real soon along with that basic center pivot irrigation monitoring using the same platform. those projects i am going to attempt to use the arduino cloud. i had hoped to use blynk but it has changed so much over the last few years i don't think it is for me anymore. likely just like you, when you add in personal life and a full and a half time job by the time you feel as if you have a real feel for a board or platform they go and change it. good luck in the future, look forward to seeing your projects. | |
