Subject: RE: Farmers fighting farmers

You were right on one thing in your post
That it's a rant. Good grief.

If you don't like JD and their "rules" then don't buy them.
JD alone is responsible for high machinery prices? Other makes give their stuff away?
I've never once heard a banker bashing a retired former farner customer for asking too much rent.
And your best one. You can't farm organic because you get drifted on. Really?
That's on your neighbors, not on you.
There's 100 reasons more guys aren't organic than getting "drifted on"
Theres:
Management which some aren't capable of
More work which some aren't willing for
There's finding buyers for your products
There's bad checks from your buyers.

Bottom line is these commodity prices are putting the squeeze on everyone and everyone is lashing out at whoever is in their sites
I have a real problem with guys yapping about the retired farmer land owner making too much rent and being greedy.
If you're 65 or less you have not a clue what some of those guys:
Went through
Sacrificed
Went without

To get what they have today.
