Definitely a lot of great posts on land owning vs commercial property. Both sides explained well.
I think commercial property is certainly more work, upkeep, and risk. If it makes more money than land it probably deserves to. But that scenario is not everyone's cup of tea.
What I have observed in a lifetime in our area:
1. Farm land value has increases 50 fold in 50 years.
2. Plus exorbitant amounts of profit in the "good years."

I am in no position to compare that to commercial real estate for 50 years because I don't have any.
But guess farming has been "OK" for the most part and that's good enuff for me.
