outfitted with either Deere or Case.....an hour of down time would cost me way too much.
All mechanical and electronic equipment fails, sooner or later, and dealerships may not have your failed part available...been down that road more than once.
Quite common for removing used-equipment's GPS gear, ending up on BigIron, and fetching a high price; in this case, DIY or buying OEM would be considered. On another note if RTK is wanted, does a person ditch that WAAS EZ-Guide 500, DIY, or buy OEM?
For those using a subscription guidance service, they could put together a RTK base station, but this would require exercising their brains, just like those DIY projects:-)
