Milford, IL | When I was a young boy in the 1990s there was a 8200 and a 8400 around. 82 had a steinbauer chip and pulled just like the 84. There were larger tractors for the heavy tillage but the 8000s pulled 40' NH3 bars every fall and did okay except for power hop - likely a tire PSI or weight issue that I didnt understand and nobody cared to fix.
Not sure where to locate a 'chip' today if you wanted one, and also not sure what the long term effects would have been from adding HP that way. | |
