The Red River Valley of ND, MN and MB is flat. 1-4 feet of fall in a section without deep county ditches. Pumps are just part of tiling in that area. Sometimes you get lucky and don't need a pump if you happen to be on a creek or river. $15-20,000 on top of a full pattern tile project on 30-50 ft spacing is not a big deal when you look at the value of getting the field tiled.

No outlet is a different story, and that i understand. Too flat to tile i don't. However, you have to have an outlet. I'm glad I have ditches.
