Extreme Northwest MO | Does Ag Leader or John Deere have anything coming that will allow data collection in the cab in mixed fleet operations? SMS is my main source of farm data storage, however Operations Center is becoming increasingly useful for me as a lot of the other services I use are connected with ops center. We also run several Deere machines with JD precision which obviously works well with ops center. Before Ops Center, it was primarily SMS and Climate. I personally like (and have benefitted) from recording data in the cab with an additional source besides the monitor as a form of redundancy in the event of a monitor failure, bad flash drive, etc. So in our red tractors and combine, I always use a Drive and Ipad to send to Climate. This has worked well and I appreciate how easy it is navigate and view the data. This year I was even considering buying an additional Drive to put in my sprayer that is ran with an Incommand 1200. Unfortunately, I believe with the price increases, it probably isn't worth it for me to continue down that road or Climate in general. And honestly I don't need three different data softwares. Are there any alternatives currently or on the horizon to collect data similar to the way the Drive does primarily in red equipment? In my perfect world, Ag Leader would scrap Agfiniti and buy Climate! | |
