Southwest Michigan | Some very good points already, the other main thing is you will give up the very best bright and sunny days of the year. The same days you want to spend with family, when hay is ready you have to go, Saturday or Sunday it doesn’t matter. We do 100 acres of hay additional to our row crops and I want to do less, most of our hay ground is cheap leases because it can only be hay or small fields with deer and don’t row crop well. As other have said we are selling below production costs this year, the market is saturated. Hard to swallow that you worked your but off to practically give it away because you need the space for next years hay in the barns. | |
