NW Iowa | I would need more grass.....
land price doesn't facilitate me doing it.
Everyone thought i was crazy 11 yrs ago for turning good corn ground to pasture.
But that 6ft of black dirt really makes good grass....
I usually can graze May to Oct then i run cornstalks till Christmas.
Then feed silage, ground stalks or hay in the bunks till spring.
I will say this, my cows last couple yrs and hopefully this yr can give corn a run for its money per acre.
