NC KS | 30 acres of alfalfa down and drying makes me lose more sleep and causes more worries than 1000 acres of corn to harvest for me any way.
I started doing my own hay 14 years ago. Just now am starting to get a better grip on what I am doing and making better hay.
My hay is in creek bottoms in a reasonably dry climate. On 30 acres of alfalfa, I might get 10-15 acres baled just right. Rest of it would be too dry or too wet in an hour or 2 time span. | |
