| Yes I'm thinking three years ago this area was covered in snow
We moved all cattle off and 4 miles further south where we could supplement feed them, took 20% losses calving straight across the board for all our cattle in 50 mile radius. I hope I never see that again.
Cattleman over 150 miles from us, were even drowning calves born in snow melt on thier pastures. Had no place to go, lots of snow, then fast melt came in. I never saw anything like it. They had pushed snow to calve, those places all flooded.
These pastures never had any regrowth last spring of Crested Wheat grasses, Tall Wheats, only growth we had was Cheat Grass. That's what we're grazing right now. New growth Cheat is just now trying to sprout now. Lots of soil moisture right now.
