He said we already pay into a fund that is at the rear of my monthly bill that provides money for this . Guess I never noticed it before. Supposed to be zero out of pocket. Said they use American made panels and American labor.
Last I heard Ameren isn’t doing Net Metering any more which means you don’t get the same rate as your paying for credit against your electric bill.
Any carryover KW is lost on April 1st each year.
Also the Illinois portion that is kicked in is taxable income. It is a contract to sell your production for the next 15 years.
Be sure to have your CPA/tax person look at it.
