That won't work, we went thru that last yeay. There are air/electric controllers availabe but are on the expensive side - $400+. What we did, I should say my son as he was the one that installed it, was to take an electric controller that we were no longer using and mounted it in the cab. He hooked the controllers electrical into the a breaker that was continually hot. Next he hooked the the brake feed into the controller to the brake wire coming off the tractor's brakes. All fairly simple to this point.

The problem is that a p.u.s laight wiring is different than a semi tractor. On a p.u the tail lights & turn signals operate thru the samw wires, on a semi they are seperate. What you need is a converter box (sorry can't remember the name). We bought one at our Car Quest dealer for around $76. Connect it to the 6/7 pin female connector that will feed the g.n. trailer & to the convertor box then wire the other leads from the convertor into your semi tracto'rs wiring system. We mount the box & 7 pin connector to one of the cross braces oon the tractor's fram with in easy reach (ours is under the 5th wheel, and spliced into the wiring harness that ran along the frame rail.
