Elizabethtown,KY | I have a 5 year old 1770 12 row and I still run the factory disks, I have 3 different neighbors who put in E-sets last year and I didn't see enough difference in their stands and mine to convince me to change. I had to use the small corn disk on a lot of F 16's last year and will have a lot of them this year too. I am diligent about changing vac pressure with each seed lot and going to the chart in the manual and plotting it out. I also hold my speed under 5 mph which is very important, I've run vac planters since '92. I think I'm going to put the new Deere seed tubes on before planting this year. | |
