Don , are you going to use the clear seed tube from deere. I put the bulleye seedtubes in last year and can't tell that they wore at all. I would have a lot of wear on a deere tube in 1 year. I agree the speed has got to effect the spacing, if the unit is bouncing it can't be doing its best job.
