Turning radius, you have done the right things. No mention of tire size, but narrower fronts, like a 14.9 x 30 as opposed to 16.9 x ?? might allow you to run with the next stop setting. Also, I can buy a little room on a turn by switching the MFWD off and using the brake.

Shifting, the old 7130 works better than the 7220, I would like to know why. The 7130 has no shift kit, you do have to rattle through all the gears to change direction, but the innards just plain perform well, grab the stick moves fairly smooth. The 7220 seems like a lot of resistance on the stick, hard to find 1st gear always wants to go to 2nd (F or R), we have it on the snow blower now and 1R is important. Yeah, better if you use the clutch on the 7220, but most of the time I do not use the clutch, and would like to have it shift smooth like the 7130.
