Subject: Re: Returning to an old AB line for AutoPilot

We have been using the same AB line for 5 years and do not nudge, or trim, or adjust anything. That is why we have an RTK AutoPilot. We made our first year AB lines "inside" the field in the spot we wanted our first pass to be. We saved the file to the card and then to the office computer and burned a CD. We are still using the same files 5 years later.

The benefit is consistency and no human error no matter who is "driving" the tractor. Anything less than RTK will need some type of adjustment for drift. That is not necessarily a bad thing if you know how to handle it. Just remember you get what you pay for so buy accordingly after you have educated yourself.

One more thing good machine control is not just RTK. It is also good machine control componets (software and hardware) working in concert together.
