If those pickups are like the camry, they won't shine much on a test drive but at about 180,000 miles, they will.
My daughter is in medical school. (Finally, the last semester.) She has absolutely no time for car trouble. The car may sit for weeks then she needs to go to a clinical half an hour away. The car has to be ready. For me, a 20 minute stop at a shop is no big deal to replace a switch or something. Where she is at, the tow to the shop is $300. A situation like that is where the Toyota products shine. They have been dependable. I bought domestics for most of 40 years before that. I won't be back.
