Eastern VA. No such thing as too many Magnums. | My uncle has a MF 4840 and it has been a very good machine. It has around 6000 hours on it. We put a clutch in it about 2000 hrs ago. A snap ring fell off one of the transmission shafts once and the shaft dropped down on one side and it wouldn't move. It didn't hurt anything but we had to take it apart and put the snap ring back on. We put in an upholstery kit and have fixed the A/C a couple times over the years. Other than that, nothing notable has been required since we got it in 1987. We need parts for the 3 point hitch, but haven't been able to get the pin we need. If any of you guys know where to get 3 point parts for those old MFs let me know. The dealers we've asked haven't been much help. |
